WSL, or Windows Subsystem for Linux, is a system developed by Microsoft to facilitate the running of the Linux operating system within the windows operating system.
It can easily run software with a graphical user interface running on Linux as well as the Linux terminal on Windows. This has been praised by software engineers and software developers around the world.
But one of the drawbacks is that the installation is a bit difficult and complicated for the average user. As a solution to this, Microsoft has released a WSL windows app to the Microsoft Store.

The main advantage of offering WSL as a windows app through the Microsoft Store is that WSL users will be able to update WSL only, without having to make major updates to their operating system windows.
According to The Verge website, Microsoft will provide the app for Windows 11, which will be added to the Microsoft Store.
